Jack Red presents Resident Evil Game vs. Movie

Hi everyone this is Jack Red, now I really wanted to do so bad despite how much I got to work with on this topic.

I want to just do an comparison between the classic game and okay movie to help those understand why fans such as me and Cornshaq don't like em.

Before I get to the actual comparison I just wanted to say for those who got to read my review on the movies of the series that I made an mistake.

It was an easy mistake to make since I should've looked into it though everything else I did.

Basically the team that was in the first movie wasn't S.T.A.R.S. it was U.B.C.S. so I do apologize I didn't know at the time I was making that blog entry.

I wanted to say real fast that I just wanted to do the original game with the remake against the first movie.

So I might bring up the other movies and games but I want to keep this comparison where I want it.

Alright let's get start it all started with an game called Resident Evil released in 1996 on Sony PlayStation.

It was inspired by earlier Japanese only game Sweet Home and Romero's Dead Series that made the Survival Horror genre popular.

Originally it was going to be an standalone game but it quickly became an franchise as it stands as Capcom's top selling series of all time even over such series as Mega Man wow.

Now there was going to be an movie that started in 1999 with George A. Romero that's right the man behind the movies that inspired the games as well as Dead Rising series.

Sadly one asshole producer didn't like it though everyone else loved the script so he was fired then many years later Paul W. S. Anderson who directed Mortal Kombat got the job.

Then that's where fans started to get pissed with the first movie released in 2002 now I said this before but it was the year that fans on the Game Cube got the remake of the classic and Resident Evil 0 which was an prequel.

Now I got that out of the way let's directly compared two two for fans that are new to the games to understand why we hate the movies.

First off in the game you play as Chris Redfield or Jill Valentine of S.T.A.R.S. Alpha as you must get through the horrors that lurks in the Spencer Mansion.

If you select Chris then at some parts in the game you do get to play Rebecca Chambers of S.T.A.R.S. Bravo who is also one of the two main characters of the prequel.

You fight Zombies, Cerberuses, Web Spinners, Crows, Chimeras, Neptunes, Hunters, Adders and Wasps through out the game.

In the remake you get to face Crimson Heads which are the next step up in the T-Virus evolution after Zombies.

The bosses in the game include Yawn an giant snake, Plant 42 an overgrown plant, Black Tiger which is bigger than Web Spinners and Tyrant-002 an experimental model.

The new bosses included the remake were Lisa Trevor and Crimson Head Prototype 1 though it's easy to beat both of them.

I love how well designed a lot of the puzzles were though the remake had one involving a few puzzles with the death masks that ends with an boss fight with Crimson Head Prototype 1.

The music had fitting songs to the game that gives you an scary atmosphere that many will remember for an long time.

In the end it turns out that Umbrella was behind everything and Barry Burton an good friend of the main characters was forced into helping their captain Albert Wesker.

His plan was to get S.T.A.R.S. Alpha into the Mansion to collect battle data and hope it kills them all what an asshole.

After they destroyed Tyrant-002 the four remaining S.T.A.R.S. Alpha members Jill, Chris, Barry and Brad with Rebecca being the sole survivor of S.T.A.R.S. Bravo as they escaped in an Helicopter.

There is a lot of endings even with both characters though the remake has gives you more of them.

That was the classic game now it's time for the movie has mixed reviews though many hardcore fans flat out hate it.

The T-Virus gets released in The Hive where all the employees of Umbrella died because an computer program called Red Queen thought that was the best course of action.

Our hero named Alice joins U.B.C.S. with Matt as they go into The Hive which is a couple fall underground.

Red Queen killed a few members with laser which later got into the game with Resident Evil 4 and The Umbrella Chronicles.

After they turned her off Zombies, Cerberuses and secretly an Licker were lurking around.

Every member of U.B.C.S. died had pretty gruesome deaths in the movie.

Alice got out in time with Matt though got infected which later became The Nemesis in the next movie Resident Evil: Apocalypse.

She ends up waking up in an Hospital where she walks outside starting the next movie what the fuck right.

The only good thing I can say about the movie is I love the music though the monsters were done right enough for me to not bitch about them.

So that was the movie now it's time for my favorite part of this blog entry let's criticize the fuck out of the movie.

First off I know many fans were expecting me to say it but where the fuck is S.T.A.R.S. at.

I mean we get no Jill, Chris, Rebecca, Barry or even Wesker why god damnit they were in the original script but not in this fucking movie.

What an big disappointment we ended up getting

Alice was the main character of the movies yet in the games they like to change them up which makes it interesting.

I don't really mine Alice or anything it just she becomes super human through out the movies which is why I actually care more about the ones you play as in the fucking games.

Another big complaint I have against the movie is the lack of enemies I mean you have Zombies, Cerberuses and Licker.

Why not use the Hunters I'm sure many good parts of the movie would have them in it.

Oh god why the fuck isn't the Tyrant from the original game in this movie it's so aaaasssssss no I take that back it's fucking bullshit that Hollywood does this shit.

Licker made it's first appearance in Resident Evil 2 which so happens to be my favorite game of the series now why did they decide to take an monster from another game then stick it to the movie.

The Hive wasn't originally from the games though in Resident Evil: Outbreak there was an scenario named after it.

Sadly it's in place of the Lab beneath the Mansion in the game which kinda pisses me off in fact it looks like it will fall off at any minute with all the people inside of it.

Here's an interesting fact now it's funny that in Resident Evil 2 and 3: Nemesis an character needs to be cured before it's too late yet with an experimental antidotes they survived.

I know what you guys are thinking didn't they also have two characters in Resident Evil 4 with the Las Plagas that got it out of them at the end yes it does count though they didn't used injections to be cured.

Now in the movies out of no where they tell you that there's an Anti-virus why in the hell did they had to do that fucking dicks.

I believe it was Extreme Battle in Resident Evil 2 where in the final level you must have four Anti-virus bombs oh ok that makes sense but to find out in the movie that they already have an cure is bullshit.

I also really need to bring this up not including all the ones in Resident Evil: Outbreak series they have only an handful of cures though none of them they are sure can be the cure in the games.

The fighting of Alice did make it's way into the games with Resident Evil 4 as an start then Resident Evil 5 actually gave us the fighting with Wesker.

I come go on and on but if those out there who like it want me to try comparing Resident Evil 3: Nemesis to Resident Evil: Apocalypse then be my guest.

In conclusion I really like the original game though I admire the new stuff in the remake now as for the movie I recommend it to some people well the rest of you I would say fuck it.

So I'm Jack Red I thank you for reading and please have an good day.
