Hi everyone this is Jack Red, I reviewed Zombiepowder not too long ago now here's something I'm a big fan of ever since I start watching the anime.
Note: I decide to make this an series of reviews that will be posted very close by each other.
Tite Kubo shortly after the cancellation of Zombiepowder sent the company Bleach which got rejected however thanks to Akira Toriyama AKA the author of Dragon Ball he tried again.
Originally like One Piece it was going to last for five years however it's popularity convinced the author to keep on writing it.
He made the story much better than it was in the chapter he origianlly sent them with some noticable changes.
Which includes Ichigo's hair color, after Rukia giving Ichigo her power don't change in size and instead of Ohrime's dad you'll get her brother.
Before I start actually talking about the story I wanted to do an quick comparison between the author's main works.
1. Both involve the main character that has an big sword
2. Both involve the dead in the story
3. Both have unique enemies that will surprised many readers
4. Both are known for their violence
I know a lot of people who has finished reading Zombiepowder and still going with Bleach do call it an spiritual successor which is true.
Now on with the story I will confess that some people don't understand it enough to not read or watch the anime.
It's about an High School Student named Ichigo Kurosaki who has the abilities to see the dead then one day runs into Rukia who is an Soul Reaper.
She ends up giving him her power becoming an Substitue Soul Reaper who has to do Rukia's job until she can get her powers back.
I will stop it there because if I got even further it will spoil the story and I will be criticized for doing that.
Soul Reapers are not to be confused with Shinigamis of Death Note because instead having an book writing people's name that kills them.
You get people that send good spirit to where they below while killing Hollows which are the opposite.
I really like a lot of the characters in Bleach that I am going to do my own personal top 5 list right here, right now...
Note: I won't include any characters introduced in the anime in the seasons not based on the manga neither the movies.
I decide instead of making an best and worst why not do one for heroes as well as for the villains because they fucking deserve it.
Heroes
5. Byakuya Kuchiki
Byakuya is one of the coolest captains in the Soul Society though he's fast with one rememberable Banki ever seen in the series.
His sister Rukia is currently his closest relative as he cares for her even in times it appears he don't.
He is widely known as the first opponent of Ichigo to face both his Bankai and his inter Hollow side.
He's usually very serious about his job even making quick decisions that could kill him.
He always finds an way to make it out alive though I do want to see more of them in future chapters of Bleach.
4. Renji Abarai
Byakuya's right hand guy is one bad ass dude in fact I still remember reading the part of the manga where Ichigo beat him at his full strength.
His Zanpakuto is fucking awesome as it moves like an snake yes I'm not kidding even his Bankai stands as one of my personal favorite Bankais of the series.
He also gets credit for looking the most bad ass out of all the lieutenants in the Soul Society.
3. Toshiro Hitsugaya
Toshiro is an pretty cool guy though he's currently the youngest captain of the Soul Society.
I have an thing for dragons and his Bankai was fucking awesome because he can control the weather however his powers have yet to mature.
He's quite smart even being one of the shortest captains they ever had it's his knowledge that makes an worthy opponent.
2. Kenpachi Zaraki
Kenpachi is one fucking son of an bitch I mean we are talking about an guy who likes getting cut by his enemies even letting them cut too deep.
I love his sword because I haven't seen many swords like that though there's an few I could name it won't top this one.
The only thing I don't like about him is his lieutenant I mean why an fucking little girl out of all things.
Honorable mentions
1. Kisuke Urahara
2. Genryusai Shigekuni Yamamoto
3. Izuru Kira
4. Sajin Komamura
5. Ikkaku Madarame
6. Mayuri Kurotsuchi
1. Ichigo Kurosaki
Ichigo was the main character who so happens to be my favorite hero character of Bleach.
He has his Zanpakuto with his inter Hollow making him one of the toughest characters ever to appear in an manga.
I love his Bankai a lot in fact he's like Neo of Bleach with one of the most awesome swords ever.
Villains
5. Ulquiorra Cifer
Ulquiorra was an espada before he met his end by Ichigo but I actually like his personality.
He's the only espada to have two release forms that looks more like an bat or a few evil Digimons.
4. Nnoitra Jiruga
Nnoitra was such an asshole especially to Kenpachi who his rival was that ultimately ended his life.
He has many arms in his release form with the same weapon making him someone you can't get too close to.
I was surprised to find out that his big despair so happens to be the same thing that two villains in Yu Yu Hakusho wanted.
He wanted to die by someone stronger than him giving his and that's the happiest you will ever see him.
3. Sosuke Aizen
Sosuke is the main villain of the series however for numerous reasons for me he wasn't the one I really like the most.
He's on top of his game kicking so many people's ass while becoming more powerful since he wants to become King of Soul Society.
He's one cold bastard for doing half the shit he does to people like he wanted what breaks the boundaries of Soul Reapers and Hollows ultimately creating Arrancars.
2. Hollow Ichigo
Hollow Ichigo is the opposite of the normal Ichigo in pretty much every way even their swords look parallel.
Ichigo has three spirits inside which are his own, Zanpakuto and the Hollow one that so happens to be my favorite.
Usually you do see him training with Ichigo though he does have some moments where he briefly comes out especially in the anime.
Not including Aizen he would be the strongest villain of the entire series thought since he is an part of Ichigo it's actually an fact that the Hollow side is stronger.
Honorable mentions
1. Baraggan Luisenbarn
2. Szayel Aporro Granz
3. Aaroniero Arruruerie
4. Yammy Rivalgo
5. Gin Ichimaru
1. Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez
Grimmjow was the espada rival of Ichigo and my favorite villain of Bleach ever I fucking love this guy.
What an asshole as he wants to fight the strong while killing off the weak kinda like Kenpachi except he simply ignores them.
I will go on record saying his usual look but I fucking love his release form which was an Hollow Cat that looks an Panther.
I also noticed if you look at both his looks that he looks the closest out of all the characters of Bleach to the author's first main character Gamma from Zombiepowder.
His personality is like me in the inside though I'm not that cold actually I'm an very nice guy in person when you get to know me.
The action gets better as you go reading it in fact to be honest I prefer this over Naruto yet I'm debating between Bleach and One Piece.
Yu Yu Hakusho was pretty good I wish it would tell more details about how everyone's doing at least that's what I think.
The comedy was okay for me I prefer One Piece or Dragon Ball but I got to say the author really wanted this to be an hit.
In conclusion Bleach is my favorite manga I ever got into and I have finished reading many of them while continuing to read those still going.
